This is a big week because it prepares you for everything else to come! You'll learn the correct singer's stance and proper breathing to create a powerful and healthy voice, assess and define every part of your range, learn exactly how/what to practice for maximum results and exactly how to memorize any song, and finally choose and begin to personalize the best song for your individual voice.
During week 2, you'll continue to personalize your song, adding crescendos and decrescendos, glottal attacks, and more to key spots in the song. You'll also learn exercises that will increase your vocal speed and agility while continuing to increase your power and stamina.
In Week 4, you'll learn strategies for honing your pitch accuracy. I'll also teach you the art of the "vocal cry" and guide you through adding this technique to your focus song.
We're halfway through! This week we begin by assessing your progress so far. How much has your range expanded? What about breath support? How much longer can you hold those money notes already?! Next we tackle a fun one: Belting! You'll not only learn how to belt but also how to control that belt so you can captivate audiences with your artful dynamics
During Week 6, you will continue to learn and practice new exercises to build your vocal agility and gain awareness/become intentional about your body movements. You'll also spend some focussed time working on your song and adding details to really make it your own. (Don't worry; I'll show you how!)
